Lilian Contin is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) who brings a rare blend of scientific insight and compassionate care to her therapeutic work. She earned her PhD in Science from the Universidade de São Paulo, Brazil, specializing in how the human brain functions. This deep understanding of the brain sparked her passion for helping people heal emotionally and led her to pursue advanced training in psychology and counseling.

Lilian offers culturally responsive therapy to individuals and couples facing emotional, relational, and life-transition challenges. She supports clients dealing with anxiety, depression, grief, insomnia, body image concerns, and the stress that often accompanies major changes such as career transitions, relationship shifts, and aging. She also provides a supportive, understanding space for people navigating reproductive challenges, including infertility and pregnancy loss.

Her therapeutic approach is multicultural, collaborative, and tailored to each client’s needs, drawing from Humanistic, Emotionally Focused, and Cognitive Behavioral therapies. Lilian is especially attuned to the experiences of Latino clients, including cultural differences, language barriers, and the emotional impact of being far from family and home. She offers therapy in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.

Lynette Spencer, MBA, LCSW

Founder, Therapist

Lynette Spencer is a licensed clinical social worker with over 25 years of experience across clinical, educational, and leadership settings. She brings a steady, thoughtful presence to her work and believes that meaningful therapy begins with authenticity, kindness, and respect for each person as the expert on their own life.

Lynette holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Southern Illinois University Carbondale, a Master’s degree in Social Work from Aurora University, and a Master of Business Administration from Northern Illinois University. She is licensed as an LCSW in Illinois and Utah.

Her professional background includes inpatient and outpatient behavioral healthcare, crisis intervention, higher education, clinical supervision, and private practice. In addition to her clinical work, Lynette has extensive experience in organizational leadership and supervision, supporting ethical, high-quality care within both nonprofit and private practice settings.

Lynette is the owner and clinical director of Blue Dot Psychotherapy, PLLC, where she leads and supervises a growing group practice. She also serves in executive and consulting roles within community-based mental health and nonprofit organizations including Parker Bounds Johnson Foundation and Adventure Works of DeKalb County, Inc.. Her leadership is grounded in systems thinking, trauma-informed care, and a commitment to creating safe, supportive environments for both clients and clinicians.

Outside of her professional work, Lynette finds grounding and renewal through spending time with family and friends, being in nature, and traveling.
